On September 12, Internet Society of China (ISC) and the Internet Society of Tibet (IST) jointly organized the activity "E-Start Public Welfare - Charitable Donation of Schoolbags" in Langkazi County, Tibet. This donation is a concrete action after the signing of the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Supporting Tibet" between ISC and IST, in which a number of member organizations jointly participated and donated 1,250 sets of schoolbags worth 250,000 yuan to more than 1,000 Tibetan children in 7 schools in Langkazi County.

At the event, Ms. Chen Jiachun, Vice President and Executive Deputy Secretary General of ISC, said that the public welfare donation is aimed at conveying warmth, motivating student to study hard and grow up healthily, and promoting the in-depth development of the "E-Start Public Welfare" program. After the donation ceremony, a public lecture on the theme of "Cultivating and Developing New Productive Forces" was organized to help digitization construction in Langkazi County.

On May 25 this year, ISC launched the "E-Start Public Welfare" intiative, calling on themember units to actively practice social responsibility and jointly promote the development of public welfare undertakings. The donation of schoolbags in Langkazi County, Tibet is the first public welfare activity under the framework of the program.
