The 2016 (3rd) China Industrial Internet Summit, hosted by Information and Software Services Division of MIIT, jointly organized by the Internet Society of China (ISC), Office of China Industrial Internet Innovation Practice Area, and China Industrial Internet Promotion Center held on December 7th, 2016, in Shanghai, Which aim to accelerate the construction of a global technological innovation center in Shanghai, fully develop Shanghai's industrial Internet and promote the construction of China's industrial Internet innovation practice area. 

Themed as “Made in China —Intelligent, Interconnected, Virtual Reality”, the forum gathered guests from government, industry, academia, research to make a discussion and experience sharing on topics of integration of intelligent manufacturing, manufacturing and the Internet, and the future development trend and applications of virtual reality.

As a traditional industrial base, Baoshan District of Shanghai has hosted the “China Industry Internet Summit” for three consecutive years. Currently, with the main line of working on“promoting deep integration, accelerating transformation and development”, major direction of creating a  China Industrial Internet Innovation Practice Area , it vigorously implement the“Internet+”and“Made in China 2025” strategy. It is clearly stated that it will achieve the development goal of“million-hundreds”by 2020 and make Baoshan an industrial Internet development area, become an important area for Shanghai's industrial Internet, China's Industrial Internet Innovation Demonstration Zone, and the world-renowned industrial Internet company development zone.
