2018 (5th) China Internet Corporate Social Responsibility Forum Held in Beijing

Organized by the Internet Society of China (ISC), with the theme of “Leading a New Era of Responsibility and Building a New Ecosystem”, the 2018 (5th) China Internet Corporate Social Responsibility Forum was held in Beijing on December 19th.
Mr. Huang Chengqing, Vice president of ISC, said in his speech that ISC has been committed to the construction of a healthy and orderly industry environment since its establishment. He pointed out that promoting the corporate social responsibility, creating a good industry development environment, building a healthy network ecology needs to strengthen awareness, consciously incorporate social responsibility into the company's business and development strategy, improve the mechanism and corporate social responsibility construction system, formulate standards, conduct corporate social responsibility assessment, and to enhance the international competitiveness of Internet companies.
At the forum, Mr. Shenyang, professor of Tsinghua University, gave a keynote speech on the opportunities and challenges of social responsibility in the Internet industry.
Mr. Song Maoen, Deputy Secretary-general of ISC, released the “China Internet Industry Social Responsibility Report (2017-2018)”, in which comprehensively summarizes the status of social responsibility of the Internet industry. With distinctive industry characteristics, it not only be drafted based on rich objective data, but also selects 37 typical cases of 21 enterprises.
Initiative on the 2018 China Internet Enterprise Social Responsibility was also released on the forum. Alibaba Group, Tencent, Baidu, JD.com, Meituan, 360 Group and other 36 companies joined the initiative.
