China International Governance on Cyberspace Forum of 2019 CIC Held in Beijing

Organized by the Internet Society of China (ISC), the 2019 (18th) China Internet Conference held at the Beijing National Convention Center on July 9-11. At the conference, China International Governance on Cyberspace Forum was jointly organized by ISC and CAICT (the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology) on July 11.
Ms. Pei Wei, Deputy Secretary General of ISC, and Mr. He Fangbei, Official from Office on Cyber Affairs of MFA, delivered opening remark at the forum. Multi-staked representatives and experts were invited to give keynote speech on international governance on cyberspace, included ISC, ICANN, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, China Institute of International Studies, Tencent Inc. A wide range of topics were discussed and insights shared at the forum, such as "The Framework of International Governance on Cyberspace", "The Game of Data Cross-border Flow", "Challenges and Opportunities of Multi-stakeholder Governance Model", "The Dilemma and Breakdown of International Governance of Cyberspace", "Data Competition and Personal Information Protection", "Challenges and Trends of International Governance on Cyberspace".
The forum released the news that the IGF-China, as one of the National IGF Initiatives, will be launched soon by CAICT and ISC. The first IGF-China Meeting was planned to organize in 2020 and its Multistakeholder Organizing Team will be founded soon, with the membership composition reflecting principles of bottom-up, multi-participatory, open, transparent and inclusiveness.
